Few regions have advanced as rapidly in clean energy as the Iberian Peninsula. Spain closed 2023 with more than 120 GW of installed capacity, of which over 50% came from renewable sources. Meanwhile, Portugal generated 61% of its electricity from renewables in 2023, and has achieved days when the country ran entirely on green energy.

The success is built on large-scale solar and wind projects, some of the biggest in Europe, combined with pioneering smart grid investments. Spain, for example, is home to Europe’s largest solar plant in Cáceres (500 MW), while Portugal is scaling floating solar and hybrid systems that combine hydro and photovoltaics.

The International Certificate in Management and Innovation for Energy Utilities, to be held in Portugal and Spain offers executives a chance to see these models up close. Over five days, participants will explore governance strategies, digital platforms, financing mechanisms, and technical visits that make Iberia one of the most advanced energy transition ecosystems in the world.

👉 For leaders preparing their organizations for the future, there is no better benchmark than Iberia’s clean energy transformation.
